Days full of invisible Growth is a visual essay exploring the critical interplay between the intergenerational practice of subsistence potato farming in Lithuania and the historical context of Russian imperialism and Soviet violence in the region behind it.

Highlighting cultural resilience and adaptation inherent in this tradition, it challenges the unspoken Soviet nostalgia, emphasising a need to recontextualize cultural practices in today’s world of geo-political tensions and sustainability.

The project and Thesis are submitted as a partial fulfilment of Design Academy Eindhoven requirements for the degree of MA GEO-Design.
